Hey there Dog of the Month followers. This is Jack Wolfskin, co-blogger with Jessica Younker—who I refer to as Poopskus Magooster—writing to you from rainy Ollanta. Poopskus alleges that she couldn’t get a good photo of any of the dogs this dogmonth, but she really means that they just don’t make dogs like they used to. Speaking frankly, I have been plain bored with this blog. I’m tired of chasing mutts around town pretending I’m interested in what they’ve got going on.

Instead of editing posts Poopskus’ posts, I’d rather be hangin with my girl.

Or gettin some chicha with my pal Wookie.

Or spendin a day at the wolfspa.

Or enjoyin the natural world.

Or just thinkin my wolfthoughts.

Jessica Younker and her common law wolf, Jack Wolfskin, reside in Miskanapampa just outside of Ollanta on the road to Patacancha. Two doggie-filled roads lead to her house and converge at what is translated from Quechua as “The Doggie Gate of Heaven” (Arqopunkuphuyoq) where a white fluffball-breed dog jumps to greet you whenever you pass. Jessica has been working on the weaving project for Awamaki for a year and half. Jack used to work on the Inca Trail and later at the train station in Ollanta. He currently works for Ollanta architectural firm Hannegin Peru. Jack met Jessica and they bonded over how much they both liked lunch and the walk into town.
