Updates from Awamaki Lab

Check out the work going on in Awamaki Lab with designers Andria Crescioni and Courtney Cedarholm (and check out the rest Andria’s tumblr blog to see more awesome work!)

crescioni:

F/W is well underway and we are excited to see our ideas come into fruition. Courtney Cedarholm, my mejor amiga and fellow recent Parsons grad, is here designing knitwear pieces for the Awamaki Lab project and her knitting genius is really helping to bring the collection together. We have been experimenting with mixing woven textiles and alpaca yarns as well as blowing up iconography on basic hand knit sweaters. Last week we sourced textiles from Patacancha to use in our samples which really inspired our color story, the natural yarns that the weavers are working with are bonita!
