Thank you for your interest in supporting our work. 100% of your donation funds education and training for Andean women.
Donor funds are the starting point from which we can operate the social enterprise programs that create ongoing economic impact in women’s lives.
Income that we earn from our programs—selling artisan products and tours—covers our core operating costs. We invest donor funds to empower women artisans through capacity building, and to expand our programs to new women’s cooperatives.
Our model creates impact by selling women artisan’s products. Donor funds allow us to
teach the artisans the skills they need to make market-ready products
run their growing businesses, so that they can fully participate in the opportunities we provide
teach skills like sorting alpaca fiber, reading advanced knitting patterns, and managing a production schedule
We also use donations to start or expand programs that become self-sustaining. For example, donor funds cover the cost of working with a new cooperative until they have acquired the technical product skills and we have created the market access for the program to be self-sustaining.
By donating to Awamaki, you invest in women’s skills and opportunities, and empower them to transform their communities with lasting, sustainable change.
We are committed to transparency in how we use donor funds. Learn more from our financial reports.
